Information about Krioma.net and the guy who is writing this.
This is the about page, it used to be the Site Information page but I found that it definitely had more about me than about the site. Well I thought this might be useful, I bet it isn't but well here it is anyway.
Well I am Samuel George, a 24 year old Physics and Astrophysics Postgraduate Student at the University of Birmingham (for more info see my [research pages]. I am currently in my 5th year at University (having completed my undergrad MSci here). Oh and I am a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society so I get to put FRAS after my name!
I am a "Brummie" through and through, so if you email me and at all insult Birmingham then well you may not get a response (I normally respond to everyone). I personally believe that Birmingham is a fascinating a beautiful place. I have to agree it was a concrete mess but now it is a beautiful 21st century city, maybe not including the new Selfridge shop (see http://www.bplphoto.co.uk/galleries/selfridges.html for a view of this!) (since I original wrote this my view of that has somewhat changed and feel it is integral to the Birmingham sky line) that is to open in the Bull Ring redevelopment, alas I fear that mistakes of the past still haven't been fully learnt from. The rest of the Bull Ring however is looking really nice and they have even seemed to think about it, with the St. Martin's Church fitting nicely between the two halves (for some pictures of the redevelopment and how it used to look see http://www.virtualbrum.co.uk/bullring.htm)
Birmingham is a great place don't knock it until you have tried it is all I am going to say on this matter! Oh and you can always go and take a look at [Birminghamitsnotshit] for further discussion on this matter.
My main interests are Astronomy, Physics and well I guess staring at a computer screen for a little too long. Well if that doesn't sound geeky enough (which is fine by me) then I guess I will keep quite about the rest of my interests!
