This time it is the PPS (Poynting Physics Society) ball at the Crowne Plaza, Birmingham. Hopefully this will end probably the busiest week of my life. This week I have been very busy with the group studies, now this is almost over (just the conclusion to do) I can relax. Last night was great - at Astrosoc we had had a talk off Mike Frost titled "Jeremiah Horrocks and the Transit of Venus", it was great - one of the best talks we have had recently. Now time to get the tux out again and get ready for what will probably turn out to be a good piss up! And now time for something interesting.. Water at Martian south pole! ESA’s Mars Express has detected vast fields of perennial water ice, stretching out from the south pole of the Red Planet! Yey!
