A busy day in football

South Africa get the World Cup. Arsenal go a whole season undefeated, wow!

The first one, South Africa hosting the World Cup in 2010 in great however I would rather it had gone to Tunisia, might have been more of a chance for me to go along. I do think Tunisia / Libya just bid was unfairly disqualified, with FIFA not allowing a joint bid when the last World Cup was a joint offering between South Korea and Japan, argh!

As for Arsenal, I am not happy about this but congratulations to a formidable showing this last season - just wait till next year though we will be after you (we being Liverpool). The reason this is so significant is that they are the first team to do this since Preston achieved the feat in 1888/89.
