Dynamics and Red Giants!

Well I have to say yesterdays exam on Dynamics and Evolution of Galaxies went really well - I am very pleased. I was not so pleased to walk into the Guild to see Manchester United score there first goal as I had missed most of the first half whilst doing the exam.

Today I am studying hard for 5 exams in 6 days - fun! At the moment it is Stellar evolution and lets just say I have had enough of the asymptotic giant branch and Red giants as well. So I decided to have a break and ended up coming across some fantastic space art including this one of a Red Giant:

and quite fitting this one of our galaxy:

Milky Way

I love space art, not the cheesy tacky computer generated stuff but the stuff people have put real effort into, the ones who have looked at an object for hours and managed to capture its essence or imagined how a physical object may look like in a different situation.
