The Andromeda Deep Field

This is a much less publicised deep field image taken by the Hubble Space telescope but in my opinion as mind blowing, if not more than the other deep fields.

This is a 3day visible light exposure and was taken to investigate the halo of stars around our neighboring galaxy M31 (Andromeda). Not only can be seen the halo of stars around the galaxy but also a rich globular cluster can be seen, not to mention the thousands of galaxies which can be seen in the background. Wow!
