I got back from Cambridge at about 10:30 last night. Not as bad as I had thought it would be but still quite late. It was a long day. I have had an excellent time down in Cambridge.
I had a remarkable easy journey down to Cambridge and got to the hotel, via a cab really quickly. It was great. I got to the hotel and that went nice and smoothly .I relaxed and then went out on the hunt for the IoA and some food. I got some awful chips, they were foul - glad I got a can of coke to wash that down. I walked along a beautiful river and got to the IoA by about 19:45 for the Cambridge AS "Crab Nebula party". It was a good night, lots of food and some interesting talks. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I got back to the hotel thanks to a lift off a friend of Brian's (the person who has done so much for me this weekend and next time I see him deserves a pint!).
Saturday morning, ok time to get this rolling. Everything went well, a few grumbles off the traders but they were easily dealt with. The day nicely progressed, we managed to get some more prizes for the raffle. In fact we managed to sell over 150 tickets to the raffle. A nice way to supplement the income of the convention. It was good - not too busy but busy enough. It was good to see everyone. Things need to be changed within the FAS this year but all for the good. The AGM didn't go on for too long and I am still the publicity officer. Here are a few photos from the event (there are many more available in my [image gallery]):
