Vallis Alpes

Earlier I mentioned the Lunar Picture of the Day site, well here is another wonderful image of the Moon. The is of Vallis Alpes. The lunar surface looks very odd in this region. I think it sometimes can look like trees, obviously there are no such objects there. Still though it is an interesting example of strange lunar geography. A few more images of this can be seen here.
