One of the jobs I do as the Secretary of the Federation of Astronomical Societies is to maintain their online listing of society events throughout the UK. I recently have started to fill a similar role for the BBC Sky at Night Magazine - my first piece is to be in the Feb edition, so watch out for it. I'm told their will be a photo of me in it as well, I'm less happy about that but it can't beat the one I included in the FAS Newsletter a few editions ago - thats one of my favourite photos (see below). Anyway on to the reason for me posting.
