Today on [APOD] is a truly stunning image of a sun pillar taken by Jim Kirkpatrick & Brigitte Heiter-Kirkpatrick.
The purple's and reds are just marvellous and complement the snow on hill wonderfully. I think I am wishing I could be there, some natural beauty wouldn't go a miss from time to time. A larger version can be found [here]
