STS-1: 25th Anniversary

The other day, woops I forgot to post it on the day, was the 25th Anniversary of the first Space Shuttle Mission (STS-1). NASA are calling this the boldest test flight in history, which is probably true sinc ehte space shuttle was completely different to any other space craft before it. Pretty cool, though it is a shame that there can't be one in orbit for the anniversary. It is also about time that the space shuttle programme was replaced with a modern alternative, anyway that is a post for another time. Take a look at the special NASA feature on their special [webpages].
