I decided, since the clouds were looking odd, to take a picture of the sky last night. I live in north Birmingham a few miles from the city centre. Its not dark here, but its not bad. The organge glow is quite effective in producing eerie looking clouds though and so when it is cloudy can give other opportunities to take photos:
I think the tree came out quite nicely.
