Mantaforce Man - lets give this toy a place to be remembered in the 21st century

Manta Force Man
Mantaforce is a children's toy from the mid 1980s. In fact it was one of my favourites. After coming across a mantaforce man in my room about a year ago I decided to dedicate a section of my website to this wonderful toy. I have been a little slow at getting this section online. There is finally some content on here but due to time constraints I haven't had chance to get around to do some decent research. There isn't actually much information available on the web but I do have a few links (see below) that are useful. Enjoy and hopefully this will take you back to your childhood!

News

Books Available:
I have recently found that there are two Manta Force books available on Amazon, these are the original story books of Manta Force - I have both of these somewhere! Manta Force: Book One - the Enemy Within Manta Force: Book Two - Red Venom Attack!
Update: New stuff below. Information and pictures of some of the ships (01/01/2005).

Mantaforce

M.A.N.T.A. stands for Multiple-Air-Naval-Terrain-Assault Force. The MANTA ship is the ship of the good guys! Its mission is to find a planet like the Earth so that the people of Earth can be moved. This is due to the Earth becoming heavily polluted and over populated. It also carried colonists ready for a new life on whatever planet they find.

The Ship:

Red Venom

Red Venom created by the World Government to help Manta Force in its quest was hijacked by the Viper Squad, a bunch of extremists who believe that they should have right to the new planet, and now fight against Manta Force.

Black Barracuda

This toy is quite graphic and so can be said for a few other toys in this range. The toy is based around Mad Karnock, a typical bad guy, who runs this "prison" ship and Karnoid robot factory. It appears that he captures humans and uses them as a food source. Using his Gutz machine he eats humans. Of course Manta force is trying to stop him doing this.

Bog Rocket

This again is quite graphic. The toy is based around the "evil" Vile Stinkhorn who runs the ship. He and his Stenchoids use humans as laboratory test subjects. Inside this ship you will find poor horribly deformed Manta figures (the green ones in the pictures below). The ship also forms the Bog Fortress when it is stood on its tail. Originally this came with some bright green playdo but this has long gone off! Oh these are aliens if you hadn't have guessed.

Manta Battle Fortress

Built when Manta force landed on a planet they wanted to colonise it was designed as a base of operations for the colony and as platform to keep fighting Red Venom.

Astro Shark

This was the final toy I got in the Manta force range and I believe it was the last toy that was made in this range. I can even remember getting this one properly. I think it became one of my favourites in the range. It like the rest of the range splits off into separate parts and this one has an escape pod with it. It is designed to be an improvement on the original Manta force. This is meant to continue to search for Earth's Twin planet. It was under the command of Commander Red Starr.

For now if you are wondering what Manta Force is - well until I get to do my own description of what Manta Force is and get this section going then please go to [mantaforce.co.uk]. This is basically the only site I have been able to find with information about Manta Force on the web. Soon there will be more information here but well it's a star. This is a nice site.
